T-CYSA Referee Information
T-CYSA relies on a large number of volunteer referees
(for the younger teams)
as well as paid referees (for the older teams).
It is the policy of T-CYSA
that each recreational and Three Rivers team
have an individual associated with that team
be an active participant in the local referee pool.

Age Restriction
With respect to the minimum age to become a referee, it really depends on the maturity of the individual child. The child must be mature enough to deal with adults from a position of authority. While the great majority of the games are just fine, there can be situations that where the referee is blindsided by situations (example being two players who are having issues off the field meet each other on the field) and they have to deal with it. Add to that a sideline full of barking parents and it can be a bad situation. The decision really has to be between the child and their parents.
