Playing Experience
Soccer has been the primary sport I've played
for over 30 years.
Highlights include:
-
1995-present:
Budweiser (Tri-Cities, WA).
This team plays in the highly competitive
Pasco Soccer League,
and has won championships
in both the first and second divisions.
-
1979-1982:
California State Select Team (CA).
Toured Europe twice with the CYSA-North team.
In 1980 our U16 team won the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
In 1981 our U17 team beat the Finnish National Youth Team
(the first time any youth team from California
had beaten a national team).
Nowadays this team is called the California State ODP
(Olympic Development Program) Team,
or simply Cal-North.
-
1979-1981:
Skyline High School (Oakland, CA).
Started on the varsity team all 3 years
(it was a 3-year high school).
Voted Best Defender every year,
named 1st Team All-City every year,
and captained the team my junior and senior years.
We won the league championship my senior year
and finished second the other years.
-
1978-1986:
Berkeley Mavericks FC (Bay Area, CA).
Played U16 through adult amateur with this club,
which produced numerous players for college programs
and the district, state, and regional pools.
